 Carlucci’s is a small and intimate chain of delicatessen’s that was successfully established in Cape Town in 1996. The success of this food and wine concept is a real understanding of value and quality mixed with heartfelt customer service.
In our continuous search for improvements we decided to partner our stores with a sommelier – Eugene van de Westhuizen. The original aim was to improve our in store wine selections, offer wine tasting events and provide a personalized service for individual and corporate clients alike.
As we began to implement our solutions we realized that we could offer something for all. Namely great prices on all of our wines and free, insured nationwide delivery (international delivery on request).
- Great Prices. Our overheads are already covered by our delicatessen operation and so we are able to make smaller margins than our competitors!
- Free Delivery. We have taken ownership of the entire delivery process. This ensures that we have a vested interest in negotiating the best rates with reliable, nationwide carriers.
- Free Insurance. With the aim of simplicity we wish to remove any grey areas and so we have insured the product to your door!
- Supporting our Wine Industry. It is the wine farms and brands who bring us so much joy through their products with their individual flavours, aromas and personalities. It is a highly competitive industry which provides much needed employment in many areas of the country. At Carlucci’s we are committed to ensuring that these farms receive a fair price for their wines in order to ensure continued improvements for the farm, the workers, but mostly for us – as the next vintage needs to be better!!!
